Hugh Jackman talks Oscars and sings in Mandarin on the Jay Leno show – watch video

Australian beefcake and Wolverine star Hugh Jackman showed once again that he’s really a song and dance man at heart when he appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
Chatting to Jay, he revealed that he’s just finished shooting in Shanghai, China.
And Hugh said that though he can’t speak Mandarin, he has to sing a Chinese country and western song in the movie - before giving an impromptu rendition on the show and dragging an unsuspecting audience member out of the crowd to dance with him into the bargain.
Hugh also revealed that he’d still watched the Oscars, despite being given the year off from hosting them.

He told Jay: “Yeah I watched, I loved it! I always watch the Oscars. I sat there in my sweats with my bowtie on that I wore last year, and I was swanning around the house, organising the betting pool, thinking, I have a feel for this kind of thing, I know how it’s going to go. And I lost absolutely everything.”
Hugh however heaped praise on this year’s hosts, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.
He said: “Steve and Alec were brilliant. Last year, Steve gave me advice, and once I was on Saturday Night Live when Alec was and Alec gave me advice, so it was great seeing them do it this year.”
